Our team
Meet the people behind the robots
Sparkobotics is run by a small team that loves watching a kid's face when their first robot moves. We've taught more than 250 students, and we're still building alongside them.

Maahir Shah
Founder & lead instructor
Maahir started Sparkobotics to give kids a hands-on way into engineering. Maahir has taught more than 250 students, competed at the FTC World Championship, and been recognized by Sugar Land's current and former mayors for STEM work.

How we teach
Small groups
Max 10 students per class, so every child gets real help when a circuit won't work.
Build first
Every class is a project. Kids wire it, code it, and watch it run before the lesson ends.
Kids keep it
Students take home the hardware they build, so the learning keeps going after class.
How does a class with our team run?
Every class is a project. In a Thanksgiving camp, kids build something new each of the three days and show it to parents in a demo on Day 3. In a weekly class, students spend one week in person (90 minutes) and two weeks online (60 minutes), three times through the 9-week course, with a new take-home build every week.
What do students take home?
The hardware they build with, plus all the code and project files, so the learning keeps going at home. Read what kids build in our guide to Arduino camps.
Why are the classes so small?
Classes are capped at 10 students so that when a circuit will not work, a teacher can sit down with that child right away. Compare programs on the programs page.
